From A19 take B1281 for Castle Eden / Blackhall. At Blackhall, turn left onto A1086 then right down Tenth St. then first right and park at the entrance to the industrial estate.
Park at the entrance to the industrial estate and walk 5 mins past the allotments towards the coast.
Large area of short grass is good for ground handling, take off anywhere along the front.
Bottom landing can be muddy, good place to practice top landings.
Fairly benign site, always a bottom landing up to the headlands at Horden Point and Blackhall Rocks (the fingers), even when the tide is in.
Beware when going beyond the headlands mentioned above, whatever the state of the tide, bottom landing will be hazardous or there may be no bottom landing. An unplanned landing in the sea is usually fatal.
